Changing the Narrative, a campaign to change the way people think, talk and act about aging and ageism, has created the linked style guide with best practices for avoiding ageist language, visual images and storylines. The guidelines help us steer away from the stereotypical and negative language of the past and to consistently use appropriate language and images when communicating about older adults, aging-related issues and encore life.
