The Heart of Longevity

February 14 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EST

There’s a lot of buzz about longevity these days, with medical experts and social scientists exploring a wide range of factors that impact life expectancy. We know that our heart is at the center of extending our lifestyles but what secrets can it share? Renowned longevity expert Scott Fulton with journalist Ron Roel discuss the fundamentals of heart health and longevity:
In simple terms, how does the heart work?

  • What are the many different types of heart conditions?
  • How can we measure heart health?
  • And how can we create an action plan that will extend our healthy lifespan?

Ron Roel is a veteran journalist, speaker and radio show host who specializes in “successful aging strategies,” helping people navigate a productive life as they transition from middle age to elderhood. Ron spent 20 years as a writer and editor at Newsday, Long Island’s daily newspaper, and currently hosts a national internet radio show, “45 Forward,” on the Voice America Radio Network.

Scott Fulton is President of Home Ideations, President of the National Aging in Place Council, teaches Longevity Education at the Universities of Virginia and Delaware campuses, and a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. He also hosts the Longevity Advantage podcast. Scott is an entertaining and thought-provoking speaker, and recently co-authored three books in 2022 on aging in place, longevity lifestyles, and eldercare, with another in development.
