Massachusetts is a leader in recognizing the value of older adults; on May 11, Secretary of Elder Affairs Alice Bonner will meet with Encore Boston Network members to share ideas and learn about their work.
Newly-appointed Massachusetts Secretary of Elder Affairs Alice Bonner is a strong supporter of the Encore Boston Network and Gen2Gen Boston who believes in engaging older adults to benefit society and strengthen communities. Our May 11 meeting will let Network members learn more about her agenda and the new Governor’s Council to Address Aging in Massachusetts. It will also provide a chance for members to describe their work and discuss ways we can expand the role and contributions of adults 50+.
In mid-May the Encore Boston Network team will share headlines from this important meeting.
Secretary Bonner was Associate Professor at Northeastern University. Before that, she held positions at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
